Description: Cascade is a spacious 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home overlooking Lower Clam Lake and the West Fork of the Chippewa River. Enjoy a wonderful Northwood’s setting - the river “cascades” out of the lake at this location over an old logging era rock dam. Explore Lower Clam Lake’s fishing and recreational opportunities or the surrounding Chequamegon National Forest. The small community of Clam Lake is 3 miles away and offers a convenience store and gas station, dining, taverns, shopping and more.

The deluxe home was built in 1997 and features a Northwood’s décor and comfortable accommodations including 2 fireplaces (wood burning stove on the main floor and gas stove in the lower level family room), two levels of living space, 3 bedrooms including loft, two and one half baths, WiFi Internet, and a family room with a wet bar, pool table and cozy fireplace. The large deck wraps around to a screened in porch, and landscaped steps lead down to the lakeside yard with a fire pit.

If you enjoy nature and want to experience a near-private lake, quiet and beautiful, this is it. Lower Clam is a 250 acre lake that is part of the Chippewa River system. The grounds lie where the Chippewa River flows from Lower Clam Lake and the river falls over a rapids and under a walking bridge. The river is home to a myriad of wildlife including: mink, otter, heron, muskrat, and eagle.

Some of the finest grouse and woodcock hunting in Wisconsin exists in the thousands of hunting acres around Cascade. Season opens in mid-September. The best grouse hunting is in October and November. Bow and gun hunting for deer is a fine wilderness experience in the Clam Lake area. The best time for a bow hunt is from mid-October to mid-November. The gun hunting season starts the Saturday before Thanksgiving and lasts for the next 9 days.

There is snowmobiling right to your cabin door and you can enjoy over 600 miles of groomed trails. The Area is home of the "Birkie" with 100s of kilometers of cross country trails groomed and marked within 20 miles.

Cascade - and the Clam Lake Area in general - is truly a four season getaway. Close to popular ATV and snowmobile trails, public hunting lands in the Chequamegon National Forest, beautiful fall colors, and great year round fishing, this home is the perfect destination for you and your family at any time of the year!
