Unparalleled
Hunting Variety
Northern
Wisconsin tourism was borne from fishermen and hunters
making their way to the pristine land and waters of this
Area. The tradition continues today on dozens of lakes
and thousands of acres of public land.
If
you are looking for large areas of public land where you
can hunt with little competition from others, come to the
Cable Area. Whitetail deer, black bear, ruffed grouse and
waterfowl are the most commonly hunted species, but don't forget the
woodcock, gray squirrel, snowshoe hare, coyote and fox. For the hunter who prefers to walk, many miles of trails
have been developed, and there are over 11,000 acres of
non-motorized designated wilderness area.
